Helping Children in Foster Care...
At Sarah's Closet, we help children and teenagers in foster care throughout the Philadelphia region and surrounding communities experience dignity, confidence, and belonging through the gift of brand-new clothing and accessories.

Feel Seen, Valued, & Loved.
the problem
When children enter foster care, they often leave behind more than a home. Many arrive carrying uncertainty, loss, and transition, often with few belongings and little sense of stability. During these difficult moments, something as simple as having brand-new clothing that fits, feels special, and reflects their personality can make a meaningful difference.
While many organizations help meet basic needs, Sarah's Closet goes a step further. Through gift cards and special shopping experiences, children and teenagers in foster care are empowered to choose clothing, shoes, and accessories that make them feel confident and uniquely themselves.
It's about more than clothing, it's about fostering self-worth, joy, and a sense of belonging during times of transition.

10,500+
Through the generosity of our community, Sarah's Closet receives financial donations, gift cards, and donated clothing, shoes, and accessories. By reselling donated items and partnering with local supporters, we create personalized shopping experiences and provide store gift cards that allow children and teenagers in foster care to choose items they love and feel proud to wear.
